Programme
The conference programme is structured on the four-year FINA Development Programme that is designed to help National Federations to confront and overcome challenges and achieve consistent growth. It is also designed to help our partners and supporters around the world better understand the aquatics business to facilitate their growth and development in line with the sport.
Conference sessions will cover:
- administration;
- promotion;
- media attention;
- organisation of events;
- generation of revenue;
- economical impact;
- relations with National Olympic Committees and other sport federations.
The programme includes presentations from respected international lecturers from different sectors of the aquatics business including the Olympic movement, FINA Family, sponsors, organisers of events, coaches,athletes and media partners and will be accompanied by specific workshops.
Workshops will include:
National Federations’ development - a workshop dedicated to the FINA Member federations and will comprise:
- Strategic Planning;
- Governance;
- Finances, budgeting, optimizing revenues and income;
- The way to support Coaches and Athletes;
- Collaboration with Olympic Solidarity and FINA.
New trends in Media – a workshop dedicated to growing the visbility and consumption of Aquatics worldwide will focus on:
- Future Trends in Broadcasting;
- Creating and Sustaining Media Interest;
- Educating the Mainstream Media on the best coverage of Aquatic sports;
- Television Properties and Rights Fees.
How to attract and retain Sponsors - a workshop that will explore the partnership between aquatics and the sporting goods industry (sponsors) focusing on:
- Relations between National Federation sponsors and athletes sponsors;
- Sponsorship and Financial Support;
- Sponsor Activation and Event Promotion;
- Bidding strategies.
